If arriving by airplane:
Whether arriving by air at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport or Orly Airport we recommend that you take a taxi (located at the airport exits) to take you via the Peripherique ring road, exiting at la Villette (Porte de la Villette). Estimated journey time is 30-40 minutes, depending upon traffic and cost approximately 35 euros.
If coming by metro from Central Paris:
The metro line is excellent, frequent and rapid. Take the metro line 7, exiting at the station: "Porte de la Villette". Cost is approximately 1.20€
If coming by bus from Central Paris:
The following bus lines all go to La Villette: 75, 139, 150, 152, PC1 and PC2. Exit is at: "Porte de la Villette" and cost approximately 1.20€
If coming by car:
The Paris ring road, called the peripherique, is well sign-posted both from within the city and upon nearing Paris. Head for the north east (périphérique nord), and exit at "Porte de la Villette". Be aware that traffic jams are frequent during morning and evening rush hours. Electronic signs along the peripherque indicate and update drivers on traffic jams and expected journey times.
There are fee-paying car parks, Géode – Zénith Car Park, with entrances on Quai de la Charente and Boulevard Macdonald
If coming by taxi:
We recommend that you go to any of the many taxi ranks, look for the blue panel marked P on the street and wait if there is not one present (do not try to wave down a taxi in Paris they have a habit of driving straight past you heading to the taxi rank, as they should!!!) or call:
Taxi, Villette station, Tel: +33 (0) 1 40 34 60 00
G7 Taxi, Tel: +33 (0) 1 47 39 47 39
Taxis Bleus, Tel: + 33 (0) 1 47 39 60 71

No need to bring your own: in Paris you can rent bicycles. Cyclists can get to the Cité des Sciences from the centre of Paris using a network of cycleways – follow the directions. There is a cycle park in the square in front of the Cité des Sciences on the Porte de la Villette side.
If coming by boat:
For the more adventurous, there is a boat-shuttle service linking the Parc de la Villette and the Bassin de la Villette (from Jaurès métro station)
Approximately every 30 min. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
