Our objective is to encourage the development of Design-related activities in order to:
install design centres, supporting the design profession
encourage the creation of innovative companies, products and services
support the value chain of design industry within the Paris region
enhance design as a profession within companies and industry

Our mission is to:
promote Paris as the international capital of Design, during foreign missions (examples Japan, Montreal and New-York) to companies and institutions looking to establish themselves in Europe
support the creation of industrial design centres
accompany the development of young innovative companies within the two incubators “Innovation” and “Multimedia”
support the resulting synergies of the differing components, ensuring the attainment of a critical mass, which has become the Design cluster of Paris
Paris and its regions boasts over 9,000 designers and 20,000 people employed in the Design industries, representing more than 2,000 design companies. These companies cover essential services and products including; textiles, packaging, graphics, environment, sensory, interactive, global and ecological as well as many others.
There are three professional design associations and seven federations grouping together and representing the interests of the differing interests in the world of Design as well as 19 registered schools of Design.
Paris Développement provides significant levels of support to the Design industries through a variety of measures to both companies and individuals, including tax credits and grants.
